With Hank’s extensive time guiding and work in the fly ship, he has gained an understanding about the necessary responsibilities of what it takes to be a professional outfitter. In 2003, Hank started working for George Anderson’s Yellowstone Angler. While occasionally focusing on his studies, Hank spent a great deal of fishing the local waters of Paradise, Madison, and Gallatin Valleys. Eventually, Hank transferred to Montana State University in Bozeman, and graduated with an elementary education degree.

The Missouri River is where Hank began is love for fly fishing.Īfter high school Hank attended Western Montana College in Dillon, MT, where he spent most of his free time fishing the Big Hole River and the Beaverhead River. Over the years Brian has become an expert on the fisheries of Southwest Montana, including the waters of Yellowstone National Park. After graduating in 2002, Brian immediately headed west to Montana and began guiding full-time. After high school Brian attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and during the summer would spend his time in Montana working in Yellowstone National Park and at the Yellowstone Angler Fly Shop.

Growing up in Wisconsin, he spent his childhood fishing for trout, bass, steelhead and anything else that would eat a fly. Brian has been working in the fly fishing industry since the age of 15.
