You come away feeling cleaner and refresh. Since there is no alcohol, you don't have your eyes burning for 15 minutes after using. I searched and searched for a toner that did not have alcohol. I've suffered with acne for years and this is the best cleanser I've found. The gel seemed to clog my pores rather than clear them and the pimples lasted for at least a week with no sign of relief.
